We knew you were coming,
we awaited, anxiously, the day.
We planned and planned,
your Daddy and I.
Never did we dream,
any worries lay ahead.
Only good things for our daughter!
That's what we said.
You surprised us one day, in early June.
It was a day, we thought, a bit too soon!
The problems you faced seemed so big at first,
then we discovered your life had been saved, by an early birth!
So remember, My Angel, whatever life holds in store,
God kept you here for a purpose.
We may never know all of his reasons,
but the first is simple: Daddy and I need you,
Now and forevermore!
